Companies and the Ad Council are collaborating on a specific approach to boost America’s COVID-19 vaccination numbers: Confirm an individual’s freedom of choice while supplying them with facts to make their choice an informed one, thus bringing about action.

In this example, the COVID Collaborative and the Ad Council launched It’s Up to You, a public education campaign to help individuals overcome fears of getting a vaccination. It’s an approach seen in other other movements: Persuade by lifting up a narrative focused on one’s own decision to be a part of social change. In applying a corporate social mind, these companies have found a way to use their voice effectively and authentically.
