Investors in Movements Must Remain Open to Quick Pivots

Donors, companies and foundations supporting social issue movements have to help the latter remain agile in this era of quick change and shifting power dynamics. This agility means giving social movements themselves the power to control the disbursement of resources to support the strategies, locales and people where change is imminent. 

 

Investors should remind themselves that improvements can take time. When change comes or is threatened, the best investment can be giving a leader the financial resources, support and confidence they need to make the moves that are necessary as they arise.
